Seeking Experienced Security Risk Management Advisors for our Rapid Response Roster

DESCRIPTION

CSG seeks to enhance its operational readiness through the expansion of its Rapid Response Roster to support both domestic U.S.-based and global security support needs. This solicitation is intended to recruit experienced security professionals with either domestic U.S. operational security risk and crisis management experience or global security and crisis response experience.

Selected professionals will be prepared to deploy in response to security incidents during available periods, manage complex and sensitive situations, and advise client leadership during high-risk scenarios to inform sound operational decision-making. Deployment expectations and experience requirements will vary based on client needs and the operating context of a given response request. 

Core responsibilities

  • Provide direct people-centered support to impacted individuals during and post-incident response, including incidents such as violence, harassment, online threats, doxxing, etc.

  • Act as an advocate and liaison for the client, ensuring sensitive, confidential and culturally appropriate support throughout the incident lifecycle.

  • Assist with family liaison and communication for national and international personnel affected by incidents.

  • Prepare written reports and recommendations post-response, including lessons learned to improve CSG’s rapid response.

  • Deliver security briefings and training.

  • Facilitate and analyze open source security analysis and threat monitoring 

  • Provide technical advice in response to physical/digital/operational security threats (including anti-doxxing measures)

  • Conduct or support the development and review of security plans, risk assessments, site assessments, SOPs, and contingency plans.

  • Coordinate with client organization incident management functions and systems as required (including crisis management and information management support)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


U.S. / DOMESTIC:

  • Minimum 7 years of demonstrated professional experience in domestic U.S.-based security risk management, victim advocacy, crisis and emergency management, critical incident family liaison and survivor support, etc. 

  • Experience supporting U.S.-based entities including: for-profit and non-profit organizations; NGOs; philanthropic organizations; U.S. Government agencies, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience providing direct support to individuals impacted by critical incidents in domestic U.S. contexts (trauma-informed, advocacy, or liaison support).

  • Demonstrated experience with security operations and coordination in complex domestic contexts.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, cross-cultural fluency, and problem-solving ability.

  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly cross-cultural, or time-sensitive contexts involving affected personnel, external stakeholders, or authorities.

GLOBAL:

  • Minimum 9 years of demonstrated professional experience in global security risk and crisis management, victim advocacy, crisis and emergency management, critical incident family liaison and survivor support, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience providing direct support to national/local individuals impacted by critical incidents in high-risk contexts (trauma-informed, advocacy, or liaison support).

  • Experience supporting or participating in contingency responses affecting staff, such as relocations or evacuations.

  • Demonstrated experience with security operations and coordination in complex overseas contexts.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, cross-cultural fluency, and problem-solving ability.

  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly cross-cultural, or time-sensitive contexts involving affected personnel, external stakeholders, or authorities.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with a preference for significant study in or pertinent to the specialized field (e.g., Safety and Security operations, security risk management and duty of care, crisis management) and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience. At least five (5) years should be field work (domestic or overseas) in operational security risk management, logistics, or operations.


Preferred qualifications

Previous experience and language proficiency in any of the following language (please note proficiency level in application):

  • Hindi

  • Arabic (Egyptian dialect preferred)

  • Mandarin

  • Spanish

  • Portuguese

  • Malay

  • Indonesian/Bahasa

  • French

  • Haitian Creole

Deployment and Activation

  • Selected security professionals will be on-call and will be contacted only if activated for a deployment.

  • Deployments may be remote or in-person depending on the response needs, country, and access feasibility.

  • Deployment durations may be from a few hours to multiple weeks depending on operational needs.

  • Upon activation, roster members will report to the CSG CEO or delegated CSG crisis response leader.

Application Process

Candidates will undergo a competency-based selection process including interviews, reference checks, and document verification. Selected candidates may be subject to blind reference checks and background screenings as part of CSG’s vetting process. Selected individuals will sign a pre-engagement agreement and complete onboarding prior to signing an Independent Contract Agreement (ICA) and being eligible for activation.
