What do CSG Associates do?

As a Collective Security Group Associate, you will contribute your specialist expertise to short and medium-term projects that strengthen the digital resilience of civil society organisations worldwide. You will typically be brought in as an SME to provide focused technical support, advisory input, training, or research on topics such as digital security, platform safety, policy, or risk management.


Examples:

  • Join project teams to design and deliver technical assistance for at-risk organisations

  • Provide expert input on tools, policies, or threat landscapes in your area of specialization

  • Co-create resources, trainings, or recommendations with partner organisations

  • Occasionally represent CSG in workshops, webinars, or stakeholder meetings

Relevant Experience

  • Deep knowledge in at least one Security Risk Management relevant domain (e.g. digital security, privacy, platform governance, risk, or related fields)

  • Experience working with or within NGOs, movements, journalists, or other civil society actors is highly valued

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style in remote, multicultural teams

Fellows

What do CSG Fellows do?

As a Collective Security Group Fellow, you will work closely with the core team to support the daily running, coordination, and strategic development of the organisation. Fellows help keep projects on track, strengthen internal systems, and contribute to shaping how CSG grows and collaborates.


Examples:

  • Support coordination of projects, timelines, and internal communication

  • Contribute to organisational strategy, learning, and documentation

  • Assist with partnership development, fundraising support, or communications

  • Help design and refine internal processes, tools, and ways of working

Relevant Experience

  • Experience in operations, project coordination, programme support, or similar roles

  • Strong organisational skills and comfort managing multiple tasks and stakeholders

  • Interest in digital security, collective care, human rights, or civil society support

CSG is always seeking experienced Security Risk Management Advisors for our Rapid Response Roster.

We seek to enhance our operational readiness through the expansion of its Rapid Response Roster to support both domestic U.S.-based and global security support needs. This solicitation is intended to recruit experienced security professionals with either domestic U.S. operational security risk and crisis management experience or global security and crisis response experience.

Selected professionals will be prepared to deploy in response to security incidents during available periods, manage complex and sensitive situations, and advise client leadership during high-risk scenarios to inform sound operational decision-making. Deployment expectations and experience requirements will vary based on client needs and the operating context of a given response request.
